Two further aspects, which differentiate them from others: Lok Satta wants to integrate the youth of this country in the political process, which is also reflected in their motto "A New Party for a New Generation". And: Internal party democracy on all levels – a classical weakness of Indian parties – has been highlighted.

Lok Satta has ambitious political plans. They aspire to win 15-25% of the total votes and 70 out of 300 seats in the 2009 assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. The current status: 11 months after the inception of the party they have a base of approx. 250.000 members! The voter’s surveys already rate them as the 3rd force along with Congress and the regional party TDP. A good response in Andhra Pradesh should help them to spread their wings in the national level politics.
